The training, held at the Army Peace Operations Training School (APOTS) in Bundase, was facilitated by the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security.

The Chief Coordinator at the Army Training Command, Colonel (Col) Prince Tandoh, expressed confidence in the participants and urged them to incorporate the lessons and concepts into their respective unit training programmes.

Col Tandoh expressed appreciation to the Dallaire Institute facilitators, Major James LK Tucker (Rtd) and Mr Francois Bisengimana, as well as local facilitators for their expertise. He also commended APOTS for hosting the training and encouraged continued collaboration with the Institute.

Lead Facilitator from the Dallaire Institute, Major James Tucker (Rtd), stated that participants had been acquainted with strategies grounded in peace and security principles to protect vulnerable children in conflict zones. He urged the participants to view their newly acquired skills as a bedrock for building a future free from the scourge of child recruitment and exploitation.
