French Defence Attaché to Ghana aims to boost military cooperation

The Incoming French Defence Attaché (DA) to Ghana, Colonel (Col) Gregoire Nadelin, and the Outgoing DA, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Gildas L’Ittermitte, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, on Tuesday 3 September 2024 at the General Headquarters.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce Col Nadelin to the CDS and to strengthen collaborations between both countries.

Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah congratulated both Officers and commended Lt Col L'Ittermitte for his outstanding performance in facilitating smooth collaboration in areas such as training and intelligence sharing.  

The Chief of the Defence Staff also wished Col Nadelin a successful tour of duty and highlighted the need for increased collaboration to address the growing threat of jihadist attacks in the region.
