A Farewell Parade has been held at the Bale Baz Square of 5 Infantry Battalion for Ghana Company 3 personnel of ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) on Friday 26 July, 2024. The Parade formed part of pre-departure formalities for the Command chalk of the Company deploying for a year tour of duty. The Reviewing Officer for the parade, Brigadier General Jackson Wonje in his address congratulated the personnel selected for the mission. He urged them to be resolute in their quest to maintain peace in the mission area. He advised the personnel to uphold the mandate of the mission in order to have a successful tour. On behalf of the Chief of the Army Staff, he wished troops a fulfilling tour of duty in Guinea Bissau.
