A delegation from the European Peace Facility (EPF) led by Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Jacques Deran has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama at the Command Officers' Conference Room on Tuesday, 19 September 2023. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the bilateral relations between both organizations. Brig Gen Deran emphasized the inviolable collaboration between European Union (EU) and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) The Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Nicholas Peter Andoh while speaking on behalf of the CDS welcomed the delegation and stated that the visit is part of ongoing bilateral discussion between the two entities with focus on assistance in counter terrorism and its related issues within the sub-region. Maj Gen Andoh asserted that Ghana was committed to working with bilateral and unilateral partners to ensure the situation within the sub region is improved.
