The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Department of Civilian Establishment (DCE) has organized a food bazaar at the forecourt of the Department on Friday, 22 September 2023 in Burma Camp. The purpose of the food bazaar was to launch the Catering Services of the Department to complement the existing canteen which was unable to meet the demands of its customers and also provide food and nutrition options for personnel within and outside Burma Camp as well as enhance well-being through healthy meals.The bazaar saw the display of several delectable cuisines categorized under carbohydrates, soup, protein, and sauce. Some Ghanaian cuisines served under the carbohydrate and soup categories included plain and turmeric banku, Ga kenkey, konkonte, fufu, green soup with snail and dried fish, fat-free mushroom soup, crab okro soap, goat light soup, green and red chili sauce, and black sauce. The other dishes served under the carbohydrate and sauce categories were rosemary plain rice, jollof, waakye, fried rice, beef sauce, palava sauce, green and red chili sauce as well as black sauce.The occasion was graced by the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, Chief of Staff, Major General Nicholas Andoh, Deputy Chief of Staff (Logistics), Major General Osei-Owusu, other senior Officers, and Defence Civilian Staff (DCS)
