UNIFIL GH 91 Alpha Company, has emerged as the overall best company in the March and Shoot competition held at the Battle Training Camp (BTC) in Bundase on Monday 5 August, 2024. The event, which combined a tactical march with a shooting exercise, tested the physical endurance, precision, teamwork, and the soldier’s knowledge of Combat First Aid. Alpha Company demonstrated exceptional skills and teamwork thereby accruing a total mark of 399.5, placing the Company first, with Headquarters and Charlie companies second and third respectively. In his closing remarks, the Commanding Officer (CO) Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Isaac Kobe Boako, emphasized the importance of the competition. Noting that the exercise was integral to the comprehensive fitness package, ensuring all troops were in peak physical condition and prepared for the challenges of deployment. He mentioned that the competition had revealed the best individual and team firers for any competition in the mission area, highlighting its relevance as part of the pre-deployment training. Adding that, the competition underscored the commitment of UNIFIL GH 91 to maintaining high standards of operational readiness and capabilities.
