Air Commodore Mensah-Larkai visits trainees of the Ghana Air Force Special Task Unit

The Commander, Air Force Base, Tamale, Air Commodore Joshua Mensah-Larkai, has paid a working visit to the third batch of trainees of the Ghana Air Force Special Task Unit in Tamale on Friday 13 September 2024.

The third batch, consisting of 40 all ranks drawn from the Tamale and Takoradi Bases to undergo training at the Army Special Operations Brigade in Tamale. The training would enhance their capacity to effectively perform close protection, camp security, and escort duties. It will also bolster their ability to counter security threats.

During a durbar organised for the visit, Air Commodore Mensah-Larkai commended the trainers and trainees for their hard work and dedication. He emphasised the need for continuous training and development to better equip them for challenges that may arise in future. Additionally, he encouraged the trainees to remain disciplined and to give their best at all times, stressing professionalism as the bedrock of the Ghana Armed Forces.

The Base Commander assured the trainees that they would be well-kitted and receive quality medical care to maintain their health and fitness throughout the physically demanding training.
