The Western Naval Command (WNC), in collaboration with the Naval Logistics Command (NAVLOC), has held a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at the Harry Seshie Drill Shed on Friday 12 December 2025.
Speaking at the event, the Flag Officer Commanding NAVLOC, Commodore Eric Osei, emphasised the values of sacrifice, humility, and professionalism, urging all ranks to uphold these virtues in their service to the nation. He also expressed appreciation to the clergy and various companies within the Base for their dedication and continuous support.
Delivering the sermon, Campus Minister of the Western Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rev Daniel Bakae, reflected on the theme “From the Manger to the Cross” by highlighting submission and sacrifice whilst reminding the Church that Jesus Christ demonstrated ultimate humility and selflessness as an example for all believers to follow.
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols featured solemn scripture readings, hymns, and reflections, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere that reinforced the true meaning of Christmas among personnel and invited guests.
