NAVTRAC CELEBRATES END-OF-YEAR WASSA

The Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) has held its End-of-Year West Africa Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA) celebration at the forecourt of the NAVTRAC Headquarters, Nutekpor, on Friday, 12 December 2025.

In his opening remarks, the Flag Officer Commanding NAVTRAC, Commodore James Adongo Agambire, expressed appreciation to personnel for their unwavering dedication throughout the year. He noted that the Command’s achievements were made possible through collective discipline, teamwork, and professionalism, and encouraged staff to maintain the same commitment into the coming year.

Representing the Chief of the Naval Staff, the Guest of Honour, Flag Officer Commanding Riverine Command, Commodore Stephen Billins Nyam, commended NAVTRAC for sustaining training excellence and operational efficiency. He urged personnel to remain focused, adaptable, and dedicated to upholding the Navy’s core values.

As part of the event, several personnel were recognised for their exceptional service to the Command. The presentation of awards was sponsored by the Lele Group of Companies, underscoring their continued support for NAVTRAC’s welfare initiatives.

The celebration brought together Officers, Ratings, and Defence Civilian Staff to reflect on the year’s milestones, foster camaraderie, and strengthen unity across the Command. The event featured music, social interactions, presentations, and goodwill messages, highlighting NAVTRAC’s commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
