27 January 2019. The General Officer Commanding (GOC), Southern Command, Brigadier General Abraham Yeboah Nsiah has pledged to be firm and fair to all in dealing with all manner of situations without discrimination and without fear nor favour in the interest of the Service.
He made this known when he was inducted into office as the 42nd GOC of Southern Command at the Arakan Methodist Church in Burma Camp on Sunday, 27 January, 2019.
The occasion was to offer thanks to God for successes chalked by the Command over the years.
Brig Gen Nsiah pledged to provide a creative administrational leadership that would inspire and liberate hidden energies and potentials of Officers and Men placed under his command for the good of the Service. He added that he would place great emphasis on encouraging innovative thoughts, recognise and reward hardworking personnel and called for unity among all Units under Command.
Brig Gen Yeboah Nsiah admonished all present to strengthen and redefine the future course of action. He was of the opinion that the growing trend of the world had made certain punishments to offences ineffective, but encouraged the creation of effective policies to prevent such offences for the good of the Ghana Armed Forces.
