27 February 2019. A delegation from the family of late Brigadier General Emmanuel Tettey Akunoo (Rtd) and Regular Career Course Intake 20 have paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt Gen Obed Boamah Akwa at his office in Burma Camp on Wednesday 27 February 2019.
The delegation, which included four family members and five members of Regular Career Course (RCC) Intake 20, paid the visit to formally announce the demise of the late Brig Gen Akunoo (Rtd) to CDS and also requested for a military burial service which would take place on the 26 of April, 2019 at the Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church (GMPC).
The CDS expressed his deepest condolence for their loss and promised the Ghana Armed Forces’ (GAF’s) full support to give him a befitting burial.
Brig Gen George Adjei (Rtd), spokesperson of the delegation, expressed his appreciation to CDS for accepting their request and also promised to work together with GAF to lay the late officer to rest.
The late Brigadier General Emmanuel Tettey Akunoo (Rtd) was a member of Regular Career Course Intake 20.
