Once again we are at the end of another year and soon we will be ushered into Christmas and the New Year. It is important at this time to thank the Almighty God for His grace that enabled us to see the end of last year and for our individual and collective successes.
As we prepare for the Christmas and New Year festivities, let me take this opportunity to extend the Season’s greetings and warmest felicitations to officers, men, women, civilian employees and families of the Ghana Armed Forces as well as members of Staff of the Ministry of Defence. On this occasion, I will entreat you to rededicate yourselves to the tenets of love, forgiveness and goodwill towards one another that Christmas presents.
In our Christmas and New Year celebrations, let us endeavor to remember our gallant comrades in arms who are courageous and diligently performing duties in conflict zones both at home and abroad to bring peace and stability to communities in area where they are serving. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
I wish to assure all ranks of Government’s commitment to improve the operational capacity of the Ghana Armed Forces and the welfare of personnel. Despite our current economic challenges, in the coming year Government through my Ministry will continue to retool the Service and move forward with the Barracks Registration programme. These will enhance our operational and logistic unit’s capabilities to enable them perform their operational and administrative missions to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the country’s development.
