An eleven (11) member delegation led by Major General Andrew Karanja Ikenye from the National Defence College of Kenya Strategic Course 21, has paid a visit to Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) General Headquarters.
Welcoming the delegation at his office, the Chief of Staff (COS), Rear Admiral Beick-Baffour said the visit from Monday 3 to Saturday 8 December 2018 would promote the bilateral relations between the two institutions.
He further discussed a possible exchange programme of study between the National Defence College of Kenya and the Ghana Armed Forces Command & Staff College (GAFSC) with Major General Ikenye.
On his part, Major General Andrew Karanja Ikenye noted his team would understudy some important sectors which were relevant for policy formulation, interpretation and implementation.
Emphasizing that GAF had achieved lots of success in these areas of studies within the sub-Sahara Africa hence his team ready to learn from the best.
The Deputy Commandant, Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Brigadier General, Irvine Nii-Ayitey Aryeetey and other faculty members updated the team on courses run by the institution.
In another development, the team toured the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), Naval Base Tema and the Multinational Maritime Coordination Centre (MMCC), Ministries of Food & Agriculture, Finance and Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration.
