The Ghana Air Force has commissioned a two-block accommodation facility at the Air Force Barracks, Accra on Thursday, 1 November 2018.
The facility is in honour of three fallen heroes whose death occurred as a result of an air crash at the Atiwa forest on Saturday, 16 March 2002.
The first 38 units block was christened after Cpl Bosomefi and Cpl Akoensi, while the other 33 unit block was named after Ex-WO1 David Lokko the fallen heroes.
The Guest of Honour for the ceremony, Air Vice Marshall (AVM) CEK Dovlo (Rtd) stated that the edifice was to provide a conducive living environment for the Air Force staff.
He expressed his appreciation to the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Obed Boamah Akwa and the Ghana Air Force entirely for the project and assured personnel present that the buildings would alleviate the accommodation challenges faced.
The Chief of the Defence Staff presented a plaque and a gift to the families of the deceased to appreciate the services of the fallen heroes.
