23 July-3 August 2018. A 15 Member delegation from the Senior Exercise Course 40 from the National Institute for Policy Strategic Studies (NIPSS) – Kuru, Nigeria, led by Mr Jonathan Mela Juma MNI paid a 2 week study visit to Ghana from 23 July, 2018 to 3 August, 2018.
The delegation was made up of technocrats, military personnel and the police service of Nigeria.
The theme for the visit was “Strengthening Internal Security Framework and Community Policy in Nigeria: Models, Policy Options and Strategies.”
The delegation paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Obed Boamah Akwa on Tuesday 24th July, 2018 at Burma Camp to officially introduce themselves to him.
They paid a visit to the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), Office of the National Security, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Ministry of Gender- Children, Women and Social Protection and the various security organisations.
They are expected to visit the West Africa Civil Society Institute at Legon.
