Civilian Establishment Commissions a New Canteen

1 June 2018.   The Civilian Establishment (CE) has commissioned a canteen at its premises christened the Establishment on Friday 1 June, 2018 in Burma Camp Accra.

The fully equipped ultramodern facility was furnished by the General Headquarters through the office of the Chief of Staff. The facility included a warden post, mechanized borehole to supply water to the main building as well as two satellite matambos.

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Lt Gen Obed Boamah Akwa, who was the guest of honor for the occasion, disclosed that the project was the vision of former Directors but such was brought to fruition in October, 2017 by the current Director, Gp Capt Mike Appiah Agyekum. He used the occasion to commend him for the bold decision he took in completing the project.

CDS further commended the Service Chiefs, organizations, units and various individuals for their contributions towards the project. He specifically acknowledged architect Miss Esi Adjorlolo for drafting the blueprint for the project.

He urged employees to properly maintain the facility and use it for the purpose for which it was duly commissioned.

The Director Civilian Establishment (CE), Gp Capt Mike Appiah Agyekum acknowledged the Military High Command for their immense support and contribution towards the completion of the project. He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Executive Officer of Tonydollikyn Company Limited, Mr Tony Nsiah for his immense support towards the completion of the project.

The Service Chiefs, Senior Officers, men and women, Civilian Employees as well as other invited guest were present to grace the occasion.

The canteen would serve as a venue for refreshment, favourable atmosphere for social activities while the warden post would be an appropriate resting place and office for the wardens.
