26 April 2018. The School of Ordnance has held a closing ceremony of Course 02/18 for the Young Officers on Thursday 26 April 2018.
Commanding Officer of the School of Ordnance Major Amoako in his welcome address stated that the purpose of the course was to train both the military and civilian employees of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) in logistics and to equip them with skills to meet global challenges.
He encouraged the graduands to use the knowledge they had acquired to better their Units and GAF as a whole. He thanked all the facilitators for their hard work.
In his speech, the guest of honour, Director of Studies Military Academy and Training Schools (MATS), Colonel Wilson Manusie Honkou, congratulated the graduands for their good performances and comportment throughout the course.
He stated that the skills and knowledge they had acquired wasn’t just for their benefits during their time in the Military but after their careers in the military had come to an end. He also mentioned that one major challenge of the School was inadequate infrastructure and that the Commandant was working to help provide more and better infrastructure.
He mentioned that discussions were underway to possibly relocate the school in order to create space and also explore the possibility of introducing more courses.
There were presentation of awards and certificates to deserving students.
