The 1986 year group of Air Force Basic School has donated 100 plastic chairs to their alma- mater on Tuesday 23 July, 2019 in Burma Camp, Accra.
Presenting the chairs, President of the ‘86’ year group, Mr Francis Bright Mensah stated that the intake was part of the first batch of students who started the school and therefore it was incumbent on them to see to the welfare of the school.
Mr Francis Mensah presented the professionalism and dedication to duly by the leaders which has ensured the success chatted by the school
He therefore, on behalf of the group assured the school authorities that they would make it a point to assist in any future project the school embarks on.
At the receiving end, the Head teacher of the school, Madam Josephine Asooh, who was highly elated thanked the group for the wonderful gesture. Madam Asooh disclosed that, this act of benevolence had come at an opportune time since it had been on the school’s itinerary to purchase their own chairs. She added that this would go a long way in solving the problem of renting whenever there was a program at the school premises.
That notwithstanding, the head teacher used the platform to urge all stakeholders as well as other past students to emulate the kind gesture.
The Chief Garrison Education Officer, Lt Col MY Borbi and the Commanding Officer 1 Signal Regiment, Lt Col Abass Mustapha were present to grace the august occasion.
