Mary Pharmacy Limited has on Monday, 18 May 2020 donated hand sanitizers and some gallons of decontamination chemicals for disinfection to the Military Academy and Training Schools (MATS) at Teshie.
During the presentation, the General Manager of Mary Pharmacy, Dr Paul Adu Manu said it was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility in the wake of the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
He added that his outfit remains committed to support the military in the fight to end the spread of the virus. He disclosed that the company will begin a mass disinfection exercises at all the offices at MATS in their effort to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Receiving the items, the Commandants of MATS, Maj Gen Charles Awity expressed his appreciation to the company for the donation and commended the company’s initiative to support the fight against the pandemic. He added that the government cannot fight the pandemic and that gestures such as the donations are very significant to aid the military in its efforts.
The pharmaceutical company had earlier made similar donation to the Army Headquarters and Southern Command.
