The Retired Commissioned Officers’ Association (RCOA) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has presented a cheque of Thirty Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH 35,000.00) to the 37 Military Hospital on Wednesday, May 13 2020.
Briefing Command of the hospital during the presentation, the President of the Association, Brig Gen Kwame Opong-Kyekyeku (Rtd) disclosed that the money was to support the facility in improving the services it renders to retired Officers and personnel of the GAF including its clients and also to help in delivering quality healthcare to all.
Brig Gen Opong-Kyekyeku said the association organizes a thanksgiving service annually to give thanks to God for seeing them throughout the year and to raise funds to help orphans and the needy in society. He said the 13th fundraising proceeds last year was given to the 37 Military Hospital.
He emphasized that the proceeds of the 14th Fundraising that was held this year was decided by the Executives and members of the association to be given to the hospital to aid the delivery of quality healthcare services to them and clients.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the GAF Medical Corps, the Commander of the hospital, Brig Gen Nii Adjah Obodai showed his appreciation for the gesture and promised that the money would be used for the purpose for which it was given. He appealed to individuals and corporate bodies to also support the hospital.
Present were the Vice President Brig Gen IB Quartey (Rtd), Executives of the Association and some Senior Officers.
