China Zinzheng Ghana Development Company Supports Ghana Army

By Cpl Ambaba China Zinzheng Ghana Friendliness Development Company Limited has donated 15,000 pieces of face masks, 42 cartons of hand soap, 10 Veronica buckets and 17 cartons of tissue rolls to the Ghana Army on Thursday 30th April 2020 at the Army Headquarters, Burma Camp.

The Chinese Military Attaché to Ghana, Colonel Zhao Hongquan led the company to deliver the items to the army. He stated that the donation formed part of their corporate social responsibility to help the army’s efforts in Operation Covid Safety. He emphasised that the donations were made not only because of the friendship between Ghana and China, but also because both countries have a shared future, and that the virus can only be defeated by joint efforts.  

He lauded the long standing friendship and mutual cooperation between the armed forces of both Ghana and China which he noted was helpful at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Liberia, during the EBOLA outbreak.

The Chief Staff Officer at the Army Headquarters, Brigadier General Michael Amoah Ayisi, received the items on behalf of the Chief of the Army Staff. He expressed his profound appreciation to the Company for the donation adding that the items would be useful for the Ghana Army in Operation Covid Safety.

The China Zinzheng Ghana Friendliness Development Company is a conglomerate of four Chinese companies based in Ghana. The companies are Xu Gong Ghana Machinery Co. Ltd, FAW Ghana Motors Co. Ltd, Dragon Success Ghana Logistics Co. Ltd, and LX Joyea Co Ltd
