Wife of the Chief of Naval Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Mrs Victoria Amoama has donated two Doppler Fetal Monitors to the Maternity department of the 37 Military Hospital on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the premises of the maternity department.
Presenting the monitors to the facility, Mrs Amoama emphasised that the donation was made based on a request made by the maternity department of the hospital.
The Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Maternity division of the hospital, Lt Col Mary Amofa Ampofo who received the monitors on behalf of the Commander of the hospital Brig Gen Nii Adjah Obodai and Staff of the maternity division, thanked Mrs Amoama for her kind gesture and encouraged her to do more.
Doppler Fetal Monitor is manufactured by Sonicaid Limited, a medical electronic company and is used for quick checking and location of the fetal heart from early pregnancy to full term.
Chief Nursing Officer, Kumasi Military Hospital, Col Juliana Necku Gyasi, Chief Nursing Officer (Admin) Col Rex Adzagba and staff of the maternity department were present to witness the ceremony.
