The Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese, Accra, Most Reverend John Bonaventure Kwofie, has appealed to Christians to show hospitality and be truthful to their societies.

He emphasised that choices made at all times should be in defence of the truth, the word of God, Jesus Christ and the Church.

Most Reverend John Bonaventure Kwofie said these during a thanksgiving church service held at the St Catherine Catholic Church Burma Camp on Sunday 15, December 2019 to climax his episcopal visit to the Parish.

According to him, Christians should change their attitude and seek the spirit of repentance toward the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ if the church wanted to inherit the kingdom of God.

The Most Reverend said Catholics should live by the tenets of the church, adding that, temptations and trials would come but that should not negate their Catholic faith.

He entreated the church to wait patiently upon the Lord Jesus Christ even in difficult times, illustrating it with how a farmer plants his or her seeds and waits till the time he/she eventually harvest the fruits.

As part of the programme, 98 candidates had sacrament to confirm their faith in the Catholic Church. He charged them to be soldiers of the cross and carry the sod of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Most Reverend John Bonaventure Kwofie encouraged the confirmed members to obey the great commission of evangelism and proclaim the word of God not only with their mouth but also their lifestyle.
